Youth & Families

 "I walk because...

my family's been affected by HIV."

AIDSWALK Tucson is a family friendly event.  The event has many opportunities for youth and teens to get involved.  We have just a few reminders and tips to help you plan your day on the University Campus!

  1. Bring water bottles and sunscreen!  We have plenty of water, drinks, and food before and after the event, but you will want to bring a water bottle to fill up.
  2. Don't forget to register!  Even children need to register.  Why?  It helps us keep track of how many people are at AIDSWALK.
  3. For youth coming with a school or club: don't forget to have your parents sign your registration form!  This is very important.  If you are under 18 and show up to the event with no parent, we will have you call them for a verbal consent.
  4. AIDSWALK hosts a kidszone for younger children.  There's shade, games, a jumping castle and all kinds of fun activites- so bring the family.
  5. And, just in case of emergencies, we do have a first aid station and Southwest Ambulance on site.
